An early-mid era example of Luang Por Pina’s most Sacred and Powerful Daw Nai Pan Nai Pon Star Amulet – Sacred Karma Improving Lucky Star for Protection, Wealthy Fortunes, Status Increase, Promotion, and Auspicious Fate. This exhibit is a Pim Lek (small size) measuring 2.5 x 2 Cm. The five sided star face is painted red, and the eight sided star side is painted silver. This exhibit is especially desirable to collectors for the fact that this exhibit has almost a full set of Ploi Sek Gemstones on both sides, which is rare to see in this early-mid era model, for most examples of this Pim, are found without gemstones.
This is the two sided 5 and 8 Pointed Pentacle version, in red/silver painted Muan Sarn Sacred Powders wth Ploi Sek Maha Pokasap Gem inserts. This particular example has special Necromantic Powders stuffed into the edge of the amulet, and, as a Pim lek model, is not only suitable for men, but also a very recommendable model for lady devotees due to the smaller size.
It is very hard to find Daw Nai Pan Nai Pon amulets in a suitable size for ladies to wear.. It is in any case extremely difficult to find one of these amulets in any circumstances, but to find one with an almost complete set of gemstones is doubly lucky.
This exhibit is a Pim Lek (small size) measuring 2.5 x 2 Cm, and is a very early era model in pure muan sarn, made from a very highly concentrated admixture of sacred Necromantic and Magical powders.
The Daw Aathan Hnun Duang has different stars on each side, one as a 5 pointed star similar to the Military Star, and one in 8 pointed Pentacle similar to the Police Force star. Despite their importance for the meaning which is attributed for the Military and Police force, which was of course intentional, there are deep spiritual meanings imbued within the symbolism of each star design.
This amulet is commonly know for its Wealth Increasing Maha Lap Magick, but in truth, the amulet possesses an massive repository of attributed Buddhist Blessings of very sacred and Auspicious Influences on the Forces of Karma.
The amulet is recommended to be encased with,with the pendant ring at an angle, which is a tradition with the Dao Nai Pan Nai Pon, as was originally decreed with the first edition Mae Nuea Horm (Perfumed Mother) Lucky Star (‘Mae Nuea Horm’ 1st edition, was differentiated being somewhat Larger with a crescent moon below the star).
The base of the amulet has a special code stamp embossed into it by Luang Por Pina. The powers of the Daw Nai Pan Nai Pon are manyfold, but has a special ability given by Luang Por Pina which Luang Por Pina would say goes like this; ‘whoever is not straight with you and cannot be trusted, will be spotted and exposed by the Dao Nai Pan or the Mae Nuea Horm, if you wear it at an angle like this’
When understood, the meanings within the sacred Lucky Star Pentacle amulets of Luang Por Pina, are very extensive and comprehensive, and aligned to the focal points of Advanced Buddhist Vipassana Kammathana Practices, with the accompanyiing Miraculous Power of transformation that comes with the 40 Kammathanas.
Luang Por Pina is the deceased Abbot of Wat Sanom Lao in Sra Buri and was said to have possessed Abhinya Powers, and to have Mastered the 10 Kasina Powers of Elemental Magical Dominion.
It is said that he was able to read the minds and intentions of other Humans, and bring amulets to life with is Empowerment Methods, and that his amulets were able to give signs and also can be beseeched and prayed to for wish fulfilment (Sarapat Neuk). The holes in the amulet also have meaning, some of the daw Nai Pan Nai Pon can be found to have gemstones (Ploi Sek) embedded within the indentations, which are even rarer to find.

Its price is constantly rising, because only a few hundred Daw Nai Pan are assumed to have been made in the early Era, and they are mostly all already in the possession of the Devotees, many of whom are high ranking Policemen, Army Officers and Top Doctors and Medics.
This model is an early edition which is evidend by its extreme dryness and the texture of the Muan Sarn Sacred Powders which reveal its age, and the authenticity of the amulet
The title of ‘Ongk kroo’ is fitting for this amulet, is for its easily recognisable features and Muan Sarn Powders allow one to easily distinguish the authenticity of any other exhibit when held side by side for comparison, making it a Master Key for teaching the eyes to recognise Luang Por’s famous Sacred Powders, as well as the effects of aging over the years, as to how discoloration and surface mildews should appear in a true authentic example of the Daw Nai Pan. Despite being a painted model, the edges of the amulet are highly visible to reveal the Muan Sarn Sacred Powders content and aging characteristics, and the true appearance of the Muan Sarn used by Luang Por Pina for these inimitable and famously powerful amulets
Luang Por Pina is known to have performed strange Magical feats in front of the eyes of his disciples many times, especially when devotees would ask him for an amulet. He would ask the devotee to lay down and open their eyes, and would take a handful of sand and pour it over their face, as they would hold the amulet in the hand.
But the sand would bounce back before it hit their eyes, and no matter how much was poured on the face, not a single grain of sand would be able to enter the eyes of the devotee, becoming repelled as if by a force field before it touched the eyes.

An extremely rare opportunity to admire and acquire this highly attractively carved exhibit of a Sacred Malaeng Phu Animist Charm in hand carved sacred treewood, with gold leaf, from the Great Olden Days Thai Lanna Guru Monk, Kroo Ba Chum, of Wat Wang Mui. The Malaeng Phu is an animist charm modelled in the form of the carpenter bee (Xylocopa latipes). The Malaeng Phu has been a highly revered Animist Talismanic Charm of the Lanna Folk for many Centuries, and remains so to this day.
The Malaeng Phu amulet an ancient form of Thai Lanna Sorcery, that is found to be made from various materials, including wood, jade, stone, clay, ivory, and in later years also cast metal. It is also seen that the actual carpenter bee itself is also sometimes used to embalm and cover with 'rak chart' red lacquer and gold leaf.
Some carved or cast metal Malaeng Phu amulets may also be filled with real ground powdered carpenter bees, as a form of magical sacred 'Muan Sarn' powder ingredient. The Malaeng Phu is derived from the Cultures around the Mueang La Legendary Region, which lies between Thailand, Burma and China, and is found present in the Tai Yai (Shan), and the Mong Hilltribes. The Malaeng Phu is seen to be a powerful protection against thieves and bandits, and also against demonic spirits, ghosts and dark sorcery.
The Malaeng Phu is seen worn by Lanna people to avoid danger, and often used by Military, and especially seen to be worn by Ladies of the Night who solicit their bodies, to protect against the risk of assault by a client. With the Tai Yai people, it is said that one should place a total of five Malaeng Phu amulets on the altar in the home or place of business, and to wear one Malaeng Phu on one's person for complete protection. The protection power is said to have an effect on the hearts of Bandits and Wrongdoers, turning their hearts around and converting their ill intentions into good intentions, which is of course a kind of Mercy Charm Enchantment.
In Myanmar (Burma), the Malaeng Phu is often seen in shops and other establishments placed on a Pan Kroo Bucha tray, which is believed to prevent robbers from breaking and entering the shop. This is said to work through the Malaeng Phu causing the robber to suffer a bout of compassion, and have a change of heart. Some carved or metal amulets are found to have 'Parot' Alchemical Mercurial substance inserted within them, and rattle when shaken. This is usually evident in those amulets which come from the Tai Yai People.
Another way the Malaeng Phu has seen to be used, is by the Tai Yai (Shan) People, when they build a new house; Four Malaeng Phu are placed one each on top of the four main pillars of the house foundation, to keep evil and bad luck away, and to bring prosperity, peace and happiness to the household. The Tai Yai may also hang a Malaeng Phu amulet over the entrance to their home or shop, to keep evil spirits at bay.

Luang Phu Kroo Ba Chum of Wat Wang Mui was one of the Great Guru Masters of the Thai Lanna Northern Sorcery Tradition, whose Talismanic Amulets command great respect and reverence, and are Legendary Prominent members of the Dtamra Lanna. His amulets are considered Master-Class, and are seen to grace the showrooms of the top auction rooms and museum cases of the serious devotee-aficionado, and avid collector of the Lanna Genre of Thai Buddhist Amulets.
Luang Phu Kroo Ba Chum Potigo, of Wat Chai Mongkol (Wat Wang Mui), in Lampoon was born on the 7th February 2442 BE in the year of the Pig. He was given the name of 'Chum', with the surname of his parents Mr Moon, and Mrs. Lun 'Pla Win'. he had 6 Siblings, 3 of them sisters, and was the 5th child of the marriage. His family were an Ethnic Minority known as the La (or sometimes called 'Wa' or 'Lwa') people, and were farmers by profession. When the young boy Chum was old enough to help his parents with the farm fields, and the household chores. He was an extremely helpful child and was always doing more than is share to relieve his parents of their burdensin all areas of the daily workload.
When Kroo Ba Chum reached adolescence he went to study and be schooled at Wart Sri Sorng Mueang (Wat Hang). He learned the ways of chanting the many Mantras and Pali Prayers, and the Dhamma from the abbot of Wat Sri Sorng Mueang. Because Kroo Ba Chum was an excellent listener and learner, highly attentive, and caught on very quickly,he because the most favoured student of the abbot and other monks of the temple, and he was able to listen and learn the Dhamma of the Lord Buddha to the point of excellence, receiving the teachings every day as he attended and sought out the abbot for more teachings.
This basic early foundation of training was to bring Kroo Ba Chum his great enlightened understanding of the Buddha-Dhamma very early on in his life. This in turn cause Kroo Ba Chum to see the Ordained Sangha and the path of the Buddhist Monk to be the most attractive option in life, and he developed greater interest in the Ordained Life. At the age of 12 years old, the young Chum asked his parents for permission to ordain as a Samanera Novice monk, and he Ordained at Wat Pratat Khaw, under the great Lanna Master, Kroo Ba Inta, as his Upachaya. Luang Phu Kroo Ba Chum made a solemn oath to himself that from that moment on he would devote his whole life to the Buddha-Dhamma as an Ordained Monk, and give is life in the service of Buddhism.
When he reached the age of 20, he decided to return to Lampun Province for his reordination into the mature level of a fully fledged Bhikkhu at the temple of Wat wang Mui, once more with Kroo Ba Inta, of Wat Pratat Khaw, as Upachaya Ordaining Kroo Ba Ajarn., Pra Ajarn Hmeun as his Gammawajajarn Promting Officer, and Pra Ajarn Luang Aay as his Anusawanajarn Witness. He was given the 'Chaya' (monks name) of 'Potigo'
Kroo Ba Chum thereafter studied Dhamma theory and practiced applied Meditation and Vinaya with ever increasing diligence and intensity. and the 40 Vipassana Kammathana methods as taught and decreed as the proper practice by the Lord Buddha Sakramuni. He developed is skills and purified his heart of the many Kilesas (Defilements) which shroud it. Iin addition to developing the eightfold path, he also studied aside from this the Sacred Agkhara lettering of magical inscription, and the methods of spellcasting and empowerment of amulets.
His adept-hood even reached the point where he mastered the great Dtamra Yant Maha Pichai Songkram Ritual, which was used to conquer enemies and win wars in ancient times, and is one of the most complex and difficult Wicha to Master. Luang Phu Kroo Ba Chum was able to meet and learn deeper methods of Vipassana Kammathana methods from the great Kroo Ba Srivichai, and empowered his mind with more steadfast concentration, liberating it from the three marks of existence, and advancing towards the path of stream entry with Vipassana.
During his years of Tudong Wandering, he was able to receive training from some of the greatest Lanna Masters of that Era, the most well known being; Kroo Ba Saen of Wat Nong Hmu, Kroo Ba Gam, of Wat Nam Jai, Kroo Ba Prohma of Wat Pra Puttabat Tak Pha (also known as Kroo Ba Prohmajak), and many others.
When the abbot of Wat wang Mui passed away, Kroo Ba Chum was asked by the devotees to become the next abbot, and the Sangha Commnittee elected him to be abbot, Kroo Ba Chum then remained in the service of Wat Wang Mui, and performed many great deeds, as well as traveling around the Provinces to teach the Dhamma, and to assist in many Buddhist Temple projects. He made many powerful Krueang rang Lanna (Lanna Occult Talismans), Monk Coins and amulets, all of which are important and prominent members of the Dtamra Lanna. Any true historical documentary of the Dtamra Krueang Rang Lanna must include the pantheon of amulets of Kroo Ba Chum, for their primary importance. One of the most important Lanna Guru Masters of the last Century. Kroo Ba Chum passed away peacefully in the year 2521 BE, after a lifetime of devotion to Buddhism, and the Lanna People.
